Le Collier de la Reine is a charming restaurant located in the heart of Paris, France, known for its blend of stylish decor and vibrant atmosphere. This establishment has garnered a mixed bag of reviews, with patrons appreciating its beautiful interior and delicious food, particularly seafood dishes like the seafood tower and crispy pork. However, service has been a consistent point of contention, with several diners noting a lack of warmth and professionalism from the staff. Food was expensive and not worth the price
We arrived with a lot of enthusiasm, especially since we had already visited three other restaurants from the same group and had fantastic experiences there. Unfortunately, this time was very disappointing. Upon arrival, we were not greeted in a friendly manner. After that, several staff members came to ask four times in a row if we were ready to order, which felt very impatient. We ordered a cocktail, a starter, and a main course. Unfortunately, right after receiving our cocktails, the starters were served, and three people at our table received their main courses at the same time as the starters. This created confusion and made the atmosphere uncomfortable. When we expressed that we would prefer to finish the starters before receiving the main courses and that we’d like the dishes to be served simultaneously for the whole table, both the manager and our waiter responded in a rude and arrogant manner. We were told we had to eat our starters and mains together, whether we liked it or not. This unprofessional attitude was very disappointing, especially as we came to enjoy ourselves and spent a considerable amount of money. While the setting is beautiful, we left with a bad feeling. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this experience. Hopefully, something will be done to improve the service, as the potential is definitely there.
We had high expectations. The interior and ambiance is really nice! Service was friendly but a bit too quick and assertive. We felt a bit rushed, although the restaurant was more than half empty. We shared different plates paired with some nice natural wines. Good oysters and steak tartare. Would definitely recommend the pig leg, was amazing! The octopus was a bit too sturdy and didn't have much flavour. Desserts and main course were ok.
After a good experience at the previous adres I went to try them at the rue des petites écuries. The food was very disappointing, low on taste, didn't enjoy at all, none of us 4 did. Staff was ok but not what I'm used to in Paris, a very different vibe as before. They did their job but weren't interested in their guests at all.
Bouillabaisse without any fish or other traditional ingredients! Total scam. Avoid at all costs. The server started arguing with me. Then he told me to leave, even though I had not finished my wine. My sister and I left aghast. Never again in a million years!
