Simply delicious!! I was a little skeptical with how popular Parcelles has become on social media. But it is 100% worth the hype. This was the one of the best meals I’ve ever had. The gnocchi was incredible. Pillowy soft! Very friendly service as well.
I recently visited Parcelles expecting a high-quality dining experience, but unfortunately, it turned into a frustrating and disappointing ordeal. Here’s why: 1. Unfair No-Show Charge: We made a reservation for 5 people, but we ended being 4 at the day due to unforeseen circumstances. Despite this (4 out 5 there, 1 person missing) the restaurant charged us $50 per no-show… an outrageous fee, especially considering what followed. 2. Table Sharing Despite “no-show” fee: To our surprise, instead of keeping our reserved table for our entire group, they split our table and seated other guests with us. This was completely unacceptable. The restaurant suffered no economic loss because they filled the 1 no-show seat “we paid” for, yet still insisted on charging us the full no-show penalty. Would I return? Not a chance. Parcelles prioritized profits over fairness and service. The $50 was a smaller portion of our check but which made the experience sour. I will not remember the food, but will remember the service. Guess this explain why they don’t have 1 Michelin star.
overrated restaurant. 28 euros for some potato gnocchi that you can easily make at home for less than 2 euros! the waiters are arrogant and the place is very noisy. Never again
This is one of our favorite restaurants in Paris. Simple and relaxed, the food is excellent and the wine list is exceptional. Since the NY Times article, there are a lot of Americans here which honestly doesn’t diminish the experience as this is very much a local restaurant. Our waitress turned out to be the owner with whom we had a lovely chat and we’re looking,Ong forward to coming back each time we’re in Paris.
