The service was excellent 10/10. Both servers were incredibly attentive. That being said: Take a look at the bill in the pictures; the price simply wasn’t justified. The food wasn’t bad, but it was vastly overpriced. Do yourself a favor and find a real French bistro it will cost you half as much as this place. Won’t be coming back.
Although the ambience is nice and the service good…go eat somewhere else for half the price and better food! The most absurd price was for the St.Jacques:42€ for 4 pieces, chewy and with a sauce that was way too sweet. Although of course you shouldn’t come here to eat fish, if an item is the most expensive on the menu the quality can’t be this low. Other dishes fine, but literally worse than everything else we ate in Paris
Bistrot Des Tournelles in Paris offers a simple yet elegant menu with extraordinary flavors of some classic favorites. It's worth making early reservations to sit at this small yet cozy establishment. There is an excellent wine list to choose from. A knowledgeable concierge can assist if you are unsure about a wine selection, which happens after you choose your dishes. Don't miss the beef stew and any of their vegetable dishes.
We had a wonderful evening at Bistrot des Tournelles. The salad and Croques Monsieur entrees were excellent, as were the beef stew Provençal and steak with peppercorn sauce. The profiterole was an excellent end to the meal. The wines were pricey, but we had assistance finding a nice red in our price and taste range. The service was outstanding and very helpful. The ambience was energetic and the clientele was a mix of local Parisians and tourists. We definitely will return on our next visit to Paris.
