While in #cairo went to a restaurant that I had seen on social media many times @felfelaeg, first off the ambiance is amazing, great decor. we ordered multiple breakfast items, Falafel, Foul, Shakshuka, and Lentil Soup. the food was delicious, Egyptian Falafel are a little different then the rest of the Arab world, they are made from Fava beans, which was good, and honestly you can't go wrong with Foul, with fresh bread. definitely a great place 👌
Very good food in an amazing building. Tourist vibe does not take away from the experience. Falafel was excellent although lacked seasoning. Tourists should be aware that credit cards are not accepted and the service charge does not include a tip. Typical Egypt…
We were warned that this restaurant was an overpriced tourist trap to be avoided. However we decided to try it anyway and were glad that we did. The elderly wait staff were nice and friendly especially Latif and Taha. The food was delicious especially the boneless grilled chicken, fried prawns and chicken escalope. Their falafel was excellent too. The prices were high but not exorbitant. The atmosphere was magical in what's obviously a Cairo institution. We loved the vintage decor.
Excellent service and lovely food in such wonderful decor and atmosphere in a side street near Taalat Harb Square, Downtown, Cairo.
