This restaurant serves excellent food—creative, made with local produce, and original without feeling pretentious. The dishes are simple, but not so simple that you could easily pull them off at home. The meat and fish dishes were the least exciting, lacking the spark of the other plates. As for the cheese with figs, that was just a silly choice on my part. The rest of the small dishes, though, were interesting and enjoyable. Overall, it was a good experience, though a bit pricey for the context. That said, I’ll be back. The place itself is stunning—absolutely gorgeous and beautifully decorated. The music was fantastic, too: Colombian tracks from a mix of styles that really added to the vibe. The only problem? It was way too loud for a restaurant, and when I asked if they could turn it down, they simply said, this is the volume we want.
Great, modern European style cooking with indigenous ingredients - no overworked tasting menu nonsense here. The Agnolotti with corn and ant sauce and the millefuille with three types of potato were highlights. The wine list is full of world famous producers. Excellent, personable service from Julian.
I can’t overemphasise how incredible this restaurant was. The nod to indigenous food and traditional Colombian fare while at the same time creating dishes that are thoroughly modern was amazing. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive and it was interesting to learn about the food we were eating. The two of us ate very, very well for about £65 - and this included three decent-sized glasses of wine and a beer.
Very attentive service but not overbearing. The waitstaff was patient with the fact that we did not speak Spanish. They did their best to explain all the dishes and had a menu printed in English. The food was amazing. We shared an appetizer of chicken livers… very tender and tasty, served with a bean puree and some kind of homemade potato chips. We also had the house made bread, a barley entree (made with chimichurri, cheese and roasted cauliflower), and a noodle entree with mushrooms, hearts of palm, pork belly and a flavorful broth. Everything was terrific, especially the barley dish. The entire meal including tip was under $40. Highly recommend!
