Incredible dining experience! The cocktails were perfectly crafted and expertly recommended to suit our tastes and preferences. The food was absolutely exquisite, and the service was truly top-notch. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. I especially loved the use of local ingredients in the omakase tasting menu; the chef's expertise shone through with a masterful blend of Colombian tradition and Japanese flair. Each dish was small, elegant, and a true work of art. The ambiance added to the experience, with the restaurant showcasing unique art from local and international artists. Every detail here is thoughtfully curated. Highly recommend for a special night out!
I have eaten at Leo, El Cielo and others. Not only do I think this is the best restaurant in Colombia, it's one of the best meals I've had in the world. So many complex flavors that hit you in waves. The service was impeccable, and the soundtrack was perfectly subtle but edgy. Thank you for making magic!
We did the tasting menu at Humo Negro and it was excellent. The restaurant itself is very small and unassuming, however each plate was amazing. Every ingredient was unique and highlighted the different regions of Colombia. Our server, Mateo, was very friendly and taught us about each plate. It was a great experience and I highly recommend!
The restaurant is one for experimental cuisine and for those that would like to try many different flavors and tastes. We chose the 12 course tasting menu which included small dishes of various types (although mostly seafood). The chef is extremely creative. Dishes included an egg in a nest; a single baked oyster; scallops and many other experimental dishes. Most of the dishes were tasty although few were a bit strange. We also chose the drink tasting (which I do not recommend) as the cocktails and wines really do not mix. The wine pours are miniscule at best. The restaurant has fine dining prices; however, the restaurant is very casual in every way. I would return but order solely from the menu as the tasting menu is over-whelming. Service was excellent too and the waiters spoke Spanish and English.
