I had the most Remarkable Gastronomic Experience @ Feng Wei Ju. -Prawn Dumpling w/ Miso soup. Umami Explosion. -Dan Dan Hand Pulled Noodle - Spicy hand pulled noodles, blanched to perfection, had a lovely chewy texture, beautiful & simple Sichuan flavours. - Roasted pigeon, very similar to roast duck, delicious and fatty neither the less. -Beijing Pan Fried Dumpling Crispy, aesthetic, plump pork filling. Highly recommended topping with chilli oil. I was served by Mr Li Lee and his service was by far the best experience I've had in Macau.
I ate very well in Macao, but this was my favorite meal and went well beyond my expectations. The boneless beef rib was my favorite dish. The pork dumplings, spicy razor clams, shark fin soup, and pigeon were all fantastic as well. Service was perfect and extremely accommodating. Everything was handled in English and went perfect. This place has had two Michelin stars for each of the past eight years, I think. The accolades are well-deserved, and still this place did not seem one bit stuffy (and very reasonably-priced). As a New York food snob, this may have been my Meal of the Year.
Not a good start for 2022, have a reservation for this restaurant but when we arrived, the restaurant are not ready to open. Must wait for 10 minutes and greet by Krong(if not wrong). lack of experience of her or still new employees, just offer the menu and gone, can understand if she is busy. but when we look another table for her, she explains with passion to other table, can see 5-10 minutes to explain for the menu, and when we call to order, she only say, what you want to order? EXCUSE ME, 2 star Michelin attitude? In the end, we just want to ignore her attitude and order our meal. Please be noted, after she took our order she just in hurry to left and without asking do we have any allergic or not, or any help she can do, No dishes introduced also. Really incredible. two thumbs for her attitude 👍👍 and make us more impressed for her service. Back to our dishes, can say, overall we can understand because the restaurant are quite full, so we have delayed for food. But I think our understand are getting horrible, one by one our menu is served, except one dishes must wait for almost 40 minutes. we call the manager or supervisors to ask as our other dishes finished already but he said, he will push the kitchen to served. So if we didn't ask? you guys will not served our meal? or not care? 5 minutes to wait, and our dishes arrived, but this is really a big disasters for this restaurant. when our noodles is arrived, we found out the how they cook are horrible, don't know it's how the serve or it because less time to prepare? our noodles are full with oil. Come on? 1cm oil in our noodles? it's like the chef only put oil there and served to guest. Excuse me?we need to wait for 40minutes,and this is what we got? is it proper to served to guest? It's really make our day become a disaster, we pay all our bill including the noodles, and comments about our experience but what make me really surprised are how the y react, the staff are incredible, who they look at us when we left the restaurant. Surprise for us, it's is 2 star Michilen but not deserved for it.
An excellent meal and Service we had here tonight. We were expertly served by Captain Carrie and waitress Min and a knowledgeable sommelier Lance. The latter recommended a Mainland China Pinot Noir “ Ning Xia” which was perfect match for our dinner. Our dinner service was perfectly paced with the service to match by the aforementioned Carrie and Min. Dishes to recommend are the appetisers of hot and sour soup, spicy sesame chicken , Sour and Spicy Okra, their signature dish of beef off the bone and Tofu mince and chili - all were superb! This was our third visit here and we have never been disappointed! Well done to all Management and Thanks to all we will certainly return!
