The food is excellent, the menu extensive and varied, prices are modest and service is quick. We have been going to Yan’s for many years and have only dined in once or twice: The dining room is pretty nondescript. As a takeout option, though, it is first rate.
I am a frequent visitor to this restaurant, and would say the food and portions are consistently good, and the prices are what one would expect. The only exceptions are the soups. I love a good soup in a Chinese restaurant, but the ones at Yans fall below my expectations. I have had the hot and sour, egg drop and wonton soups. All are lacking in flavor, or just don't taste very good ( hot and sour).. They need new recipes. I will continue to eat there as the other food is very good, but I would love them to improve their soups.
