We showed up to Tallinn on a Friday night without a restaurant reservation which was a mistake but this restaurant happily accepted us for a dinner around 7:30 pm. My wife tried the Jerusalem artichoke soup and it was absolutely delicious and full of flavour. I ordered the Christmas set menu which started with salmon gravlax, had a duck breast main and a cheesecake with a scoop of sorbet for dessert. All items we ordered were beautifully prepared and presented with very fresh ingredients. They gave us a rye bread starter with butter and flaky salt to start off our meal and it was a good suggestion. The restaurant has a warm and friendly environment and they lean into the farm theme a bit which makes it charming as well. The decor was very nice and fit the theme. We also appreciated the Christmas decorations. The staff at the restaurant were very kind and served well. We got excellent service from Regina who waited for our table. When we visited there was a pianist who was singing Christmas tunes and some Estonian songs as well - he was very talented and worth listening too. They have a good selection of wine here but not too many beers and no cocktail menu presently. I'd like to see what they would come up with cocktails if they do include these in their menu. This restaurant was worth a stop and we would recommend it to family and friends visiting Tallinn. It is a nice restaurant too and would be a good spot to mark a special occasion. The restaurant seems to be open mostly for dinner service but has some lunch time hours on the weekend. A reservation is recommended. They are located in the southeast corner of the old town area near Hellemann Tower and the Viru Gate. There are many other attractions and shops nearby.

We happened to walk past “The Farm” restaurant this morning and looked at the menu. As it appealed to us, we checked the reviews on TripAdvisor, most of which were very good. So we booked a table online straight away. When we were welcomed there this evening, we were initially a little “irritated” because the female waitress didn't immediately sparkle with charm. However, this irritation quickly subsided when we were seated at the table and served by a very courteous waiter called Dmitry. After we had ordered our starter of beef tartare, our two main courses of tenderloin beef and Venison filet and a good Primitivo di Manduria, Dmitry served us homemade bread with butter and salt as an appetizer, which he presented perfectly. This bread alone was a delight. We were equally impressed by the wine and the dishes we had ordered. It should be noted that we often like to eat out very well! But what impressed us most of all was Dmitry! It is really rare to find such a courteous, well-trained, friendly waiter who makes you realize that he enjoys his job. The food tastes a little better or less good here and there. Sometimes it looks a little better there, sometimes it looks a little better here. But it's usually the people who work there who make the difference when you visit a restaurant. And Dmitry made that difference. A big compliment - we would love to come back!
