Perfection ! There is absolutely nothing I didn’t like here! The whole experience was so impressive! Every little detail was well coordinated. Textures, flavours, love at a plate. Again and again! Perfectly executed dishes. The plating is perfect, and still surprisingly fun sometimes! It’s a small Germany in Bangkok, surrounded by lush greenery. The service is impeccable! The interior is homey in a beautiful sophisticated way. A must if you visit Bangkok and wanna dive in to the luxury of fine dining!

My partner and I were lucky enough to take a ten day trip to Bangkok and decided that we should delay our anniversary plans (which are usually in October) and find a nice starred restaurant here instead to celebrate. We chose Suhring because of the German take on food and the menu was particularly interesting to us. The restaurant is situated in a quiet area away from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok. The property is surrounded by foliage and has a very calm, clean design language. It is very cosy inside and we enjoyed the environment very much. The staff were pleasant and spoke perfect English - something important when eating a tasting menu when we could understand all of the food descriptions. I will simply detail our highlights of the meal. We very much liked the lobster tail dish served with a cauliflower tart and bisque. The lobster was extremely fresh and flavoursome and the tart was a warming accompaniment. The turbot was fantastically cooked with nice flavours, a lovely sauce and a brilliant caviar blend on top. One of our highlights was the supplement course of Spaetzle. The way such simple ingredients paired with white truffles could elevate such a dish was nothing short of incredible. It was easily the best course of the night by a considerable margin. Fantastic. Some fun elements were at play, like the charming Curry 36 sausage served in a little takeaway box with a wooden chippy fork and the duck wafer served in "packaging" resembling a chocolate and hazelnut wafer, finished with an incredible apricot and vinegar drink. The pie of various game elements was a delight, nice and light and remarkably well put together. The desserts were lovely and the little eggnog shot at the end was a nice touch. We had the non alcoholic pairing, trying to be mindful that we are a long way from home and it felt like the first no alcohol pairing that I have ever had where it felt truly considered by the team. Amazing flavours, the kombucha was outstanding. A brilliant pairing, well worth opting for over alcohol on this occasion. We received a nice thank you / anniversary card signed by the team and left feeling satisfied. The bill was understandably expensive but we enjoyed the night very well. The only downside I felt were the staff asking us for example which of the three breads we would like or which of the five petit four chocolates we would like. We felt awkward asking for all of them. They were eventually offered to us in full but I think maybe it makes sense to just offer them all and let the customer decide if it's too much for them or not. Perhaps they do it to try and reduce waste. Nonetheless, this is a great spot to dine at. It easily earns its two stars and spots as #23 in the world's best guide. I don't think there's a lot to be done here to hit three stars. I wouldn't say anything was mindblowing (save the Spaetzle) but it was all masterfully executed.

Restaurant located in a house in residential area. Dinin area consists of few several rooms with few table in each. Service was generally speaking ok and in line with Michelin star restaurants in general. Food was below average of one Michelin star level. Ingredients in general were good but flavours were diminished and not beautifully balanced as you normally experience in two Michelin star restaurants. The stories belong to Fine dining, but I wish they had invested more in cooking than telling the story. I conic wine paring was SCAM and not include any of the wines they had in the iconic wine paring list (list had great ones). The wines that sommelier served for 6800++ THB were crappy and akward wines starting with hazy oxygenized Pinot Noir from Austria, which was served as too cold (to hide the faulty). If you are interested in fine dining with good wines i can recommend you any other two Michelin star restaurant in Bangkok, but not this one.
