visited there in the morning, though busy but staff was friendly to have us seated fairly quick, guess having a queue system all around guangzhou is great. food is good. good size shrimp, good porridge and nice roasted goose. price is slightly on the high side but guess it’s a well known restaurant in town. toilet however is lacking,and only squat toilet is available.
It’s good. Must try at least once. We were there at the Liwan branch (apparently they have a few branches) around 8ish AM. Altho there were many people, there wasn’t a queue, we got our table immediately on the 3rd floor. NOTE: there seems to be a ‘coverage charge” - I’m not one who enjoys Chinese tea but at this restaurant, despite not ordering, there’s a ‘tea fee” per head count. The portion is a good size, service was swift and food was tasty. I would recommend friends and family members to visit at least once.
It’s my first time visiting the Tao Tao Ju in Shenzhen and we found it really amazing no matter the food and environment. The interior design and setting is different from the main branch in Guangzhou with a modern Chinese style, high ceiling, however, the food is still able to keep up the quality. We love the dim sum very much and all are fresh made. Other than the food, the tea and service is good there to make you feel welcome to the restaurant. They offer the authentic dim sum and some modernised versions as well and both are great & delicious. Will definitely come again!
