Great location nearby the lake and next to a luxury shopping mall. The hotel rooms and facility are new and nice. Generally the service is okay. Staff are polite but lack of enthusiasm (comparing to other Shangri-La hotels in other countries) Breakfast place is bit crowded and chaotic. Can you imagine a table with food right at the entrance? They basically do not have space to arrange everything nicely. The Chinese restaurant Midtown is a bit disappointing. Every hot dish was served cold! Tastes were not to the standard either. Waitresses apparently did not like their job.
Very nice luxurious hotel not far from the lake. Excellent breakfast and big gym and swimming pool.
The breakfast and all day restaurant of Shangri la midtown. Like most china “5 star” hotels, it’s crowded, food range average and quality less so. Always a challenge finding something healthy or tasty or both
The buffet has excellent variety and is delicious. Top picks are the seafood spread, which has king crab legs, sushi, fresh shellfish and the works. Also has some of the best western pastries and desserts in Hangzhou. The Chocolate fountain is a decadent treat. Price is really worth the variety and quality!
