Last Saturday night, my friends and I ate at the Haidilao Hotpot. Haidilao Hotpot serves traditional Chinese food. We paid about 110 yuan a person to eat there. The food was fresh and wonderful. The seafood reminded me of my grandma. She used to cook it for me. I also had some meat and vegetables, and they were fantastic. The waiters were polite, but a little slow. We were seated at 7 p.m., but we did not receive our food until 7:40 p.m. I would certainly recommend Haidilao Hotpot for good, traditional Chinese food. However, you should get there early and be prepared to spend a lot of time waiting for your food.
I have had my share of hotpots since I arrived in HK 11 years ago. This one is the best experience I have had until today. First you wait in a nice area with small snacks and drinks to enjoy. Then you get in the restaurant and all goes up ten steps. The food is absolutely awesome, the service is exceptional and the atmosphere is really nice and clean... one point to mention though, the spicy soup is really really really spicy but worth every drop of sweat!! If you are in Shenzhen around Futian, go there, it’s a sure thing...
