Came here for a work banquet/ celebration of sorts with just shy of 30 people. The food quality and presentation was superb, even the simplest of dishes like Chestnut soup was full of so much flavor. The staff is very attentive, and the venue is insanely huge, the size of a small shopping mall, so you can have either small group dinners or very big functions. There was lots of parking inside but not sure if I saw an elevator /lift.
The best place for Peking duck in Beijing. Other dishes are great too. Must go restaurant if you are first timer to the city.
Already a big fan of Chef Dong’s creativity. My must visit restaurant everytime back to Beijing. This time I came with my family for my birthday! Great service and delicious food!
Dadong is an interesting franchised restaurant in China. Local Beijingers do not go to Dadong for daily eating. "Dadong is prepared for foreigners while Quanjude is prepared for Chinese living outside Beijing". This saying is well said about Beijing Roast Duck restaurants. Dadong paid toooo much attention on the deco of the restaurants and the display of its food, but not the food taste. So, you can see it is 3X - 4X of the price compare with the other local restaurants. The food taste, almost the same. Unless you are really rich, you do want to spend your money on the environment of the restaurants but not the food, then, go to Dadong. The service is another problem. Mr. Dong (the owner of the restaurant) is thinking he is superior to others. If you complain about his business, you probably will get his fight-back.
