Cioppino’s Mediterranean Grill

WOW what an experience!! Came here for a friend’s birthday and we all had a blast from the start to finish. The service is absolutely top notch, we were instantly greeted and seated by the host, everyone smiled at me when I walk in the room, our server was funny and made good suggestions, the owner came out to ask how the food was which felt personal and welcoming, everyone served us was attentive and friendly, they even offer to divide the food for you, have not experienced service like this in a very very long time. This is the standard Vancouver restaurants should look up to when they ask for minimum 18% tips. I must add that their machine doesn’t have fixed percentage, it gives you the option to select either amount or percentage then enter the number as you see fit. This is very rare especially considering it’s fine dining, it is definitely a bonus when the tip culture nowadays is out of control. With that being said, for their excellent service and food, everyone including myself is more than happy to tip generously. Now the food, the BEST pasta I’ve ever had. The sauce, the texture of the noodles, the portion of the meat, everything in one bite is perfection. We shared the pacific octopus as appetizer, the sauce was unique and surprisingly good, the octopus was very tender. The lamb rack we shared was already separated by the chef when served, initially I was skeptical to get a medium rare cooked lamb but it turned out to be so tender and juicy. The cocktails and desserts were super delicious as well. I would like to come back to try more dishes before they close down 😋

Absolutely delicious! Great service and beautiful venue. Old fashioned - well made, smooth and nicely flavoured with bitters. Uni pasta - this was their seasonal special. Impressive mix of citrus and uni flavours with a nice creamy texture. Dessert - full disclosure: forgot the name. It was a chocolate mousse main with a coffee bean accent.

Accueil et service de qualité. Si la météo le permet, demandez à être en terrasse, car la salle est un peu bruyante. Super carte, un peu chère mais la qualite est au RDV.

C'est bien sûr un restaurant Italien de très haut niveau à Vancouver, avec la belle salle, une armada de serveurs, un menu extrêmement appétissant et varié, et une cave de DINGUES !!!! Jamais vu autant de Romanée-Conti, Pétrus, Margaux, Angélus, Yquem, et autre Cheval Blanc dans une carte des vins, et chacun avec de très nombreux millésimes... très inattendu à Vancouver, et dans un restaurant Italien ! Notre serveur nous a confirmé qu'il s'agissait bien de la plus grande cave (de restaurant) d'Amérique du Nord. Au delà du vin, c'est aussi incroyable, irréprochable et succulent. On est au top du top, tout est parfait. D'ailleurs, on le voit aussi parce que la clientèle locale est plutôt très bien habillée ("pour sortir"), parce que le service est rapide, précis, flexible et polyglotte, assuré par un personnel très nombreux et un maitre d'hôtel très pro, et pour finir une addition qui est au niveau, même sans boire un Romanée-Conti ! Franchement une sublissime adresse à Vancouver.
