Never disappoints. Overall great bites and sips, delightful + knowledgeable staff, good times ❤️ Would recommend the shared tasting menu. Cute interior, walls lined with empty bottles of favourites they’ve poured in the past. Fantastic dog-friendly patio, weather permitting. Images are of various meals over several months.

Amazing! Tried it in a whim and it is my new favourite place. The food tastes amazing and they were so accommodating. One of the servers made their favorite low carb restaurants for us to try next! ❤️❤️❤️

I love independent, hole-in-the-wall, type places like this. When they get it right it knocks the socks off more established places. Dachi is nearly a great place to eat. The service was attentive, friendly and present in all the right amounts. The cooking was delicate and interesting. The portions tiny and the recommendation of five between the two of us seemed designed to leave us wanting dessert, although it actually left space for grilled cheese when we got home. But could they just remember that the guest is paying for everything so a moment to consider what WE might want would be kind? Examples: Could I have hot water please? "No, we don't serve hot drinks, including water." (You don't have a kettle?!?!) May I start with a sparkling white wine? "No, you can have sparkling red!" (They offered half a glass in case we didn't like it. Why not try to serve something we will like?) I've changed my wine, may I have a fresh glass? "No, your glass is perfectly seasoned by the wine that was just in it!" (WTAF???) This are easy to fix *and they matter* so please listen the the customer a little more. And also be aware that many people of Chinese origin, including my guest, routinely drink hot water with meals. So maybe try being a little less pompous and a little more inclusive.

Good food but the dishes are very small, they don’t provide a wine list, they pressure you with expensive bottles at the table, and then they charge a surprise $15 “in-house corking fee” (mentioned in very fine print on the menu). They justify it by saying that their base wine prices are “retail”, which does not make sense, and was not true in our case (wine retail was $34, their markup was $59 + the corking fee). I get that restaurants have had a hard time over the past 2 years but this experience just felt totally dishonest and, frankly, like a scam. Won’t come back.
