We had great coffees; I had a mocha which was delightfully subtle; not too sweet, and not too bitter. In addition, we were gifted a slice of Tom and Jerry cheesecake when we revealed we were tourists (the giant camera was a partial clue). It was gently sweet and light for a cheesecake, very surprising- and the form it came in was delightfully whimsical, definitely not what we were expecting! The lady who served us at the counter had incredible energy, and was completely switched on and attentive the entire time that we were there, very engaging- Surprising for how early it was in the morning. Will definitely go again next time we're visiting Vancouver!
Had their oat caramel latte and iced chai latte and both were made quite well. The baked goods were absolutely incredible and would highly recommend the garlic confit brioche as a savoury delight. Staff was very friendly and helpful with recommendations for their menu. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of food and drinks you receive. There is limited seating inside, so may not be able to get a seat during peak hours, but Wicked Cafe is 100% worth a visit
We've been in love with this neighbourhood spot since we discovered it back in June. Unfortunately, they somehow managed to go from 5/5 to a 1/5 in just one visit. Three things were off (someone new in kitchen??) we immediately noticed the hot dog in a bun on display was a little burnt so avoided. We ordered 2 egg breakfast muffins - they were strangely flat - found out why when we pushed on the dark, spongy bottom with forks and a mass amount of oil seepage came out. Pointed this out to staff - defensive, she called over her friend and they insisted recipe hadn't changed instead of simply offering a new one. Finally replaced it with a cheese / leek bun and holy crud - almost no leeks, sprinkled with tiny bit of cheese and pumped so full of straight mayonnaise it was inedible. Come on Wicked Cafe! no one wants a mouthful of straight mayonnaise! At least the coffee was good and the carrot cake (smaller cut than usual) was tasty. Regular costumers notice the details. You guys are better than this.
I do not recommend this place. most of all these reviews are done by people who were invited to a place and had a chance to have free food. the owner of this place is greedy. he does not give tips from customers to his workers. he keeps the money for himself. i have worked there for a while. he makes his workers write a review on google review. the food is not done clean. this place does not deserve any good reviews. that is the reason why people keep quitting this place. the food is not clean at all. there are mice.
