This was an incredible experience, but it doesn't come cheap! If you can afford it, the tasting menu offers a great selection of dishes and their drinks are impressive too! I came here with my friend because we had heard great things about the place, and we weren't disappointed. The restaurant is gorgeous, with a cosy setting, soft lighting and curves, and greenery to enhance the space. Although we sat at the bar, we were able to enjoy the design of the space because of how the seating was arranged. Service was impeccable. The bar team were great because they understood the menu well, explained the unique motivations and ideas behind each drink, provided pairing recommendations, and made amazing cocktails with a story behind them! They were even accommodating with a large selection of mocktails, including ones that were no longer on the menu. The servers who brought out our food were also very knowledgeable, and everything was gorgeously presented. The food and drinks were absolutely delicious! We had an expansive 8 course tasting menu with some light sweets to finish off the meal, and ordered a few drinks each. Each course treated us to a small part of Peru combined with modern influences and inventive concepts, resulting in an engaging and satisfying culinary journey! The drinks were also made to my preference, and I enjoyed every one of them. It definitely was not cheap. We paid around $300 for this experience, so be mindful of this if you plan to visit. If you've got a foodie in your life and you want to treat them for a special occasion, you've got to try SUYO!
Our first time here was January of 2024 and second time in late 2024. The menu was refreshed with new dishes but everything still tasted absolutely delicious - intricately made flavourful. We ordered a la carte both times, taking the servers’ recommendations and the dishes always paired very well with each other (loved the warm salad with artichoke and Brussels sprouts). The cocktails are also delicious, perhaps our favourite spot in the city. The price is high, but everyone I’ve brought to SUYO has deemed it the best restaurant they tried to so in my opinion it’s worth it 😊
We have been here three times with different friends. The first time, we were overwhelmed how delicious and flavorful the dishes were. The other times, we also tried different items and really enjoyed but not as good as the first time. Family style sharing is how best to enjoy. The cecviche, duck, antichucheros, and halibut are particularly good. The service was excellent.
This place was recommended to us by a trusted foodie...they weren't wrong. The space is inviting, busy with good energy. Staff is on point from the moment you walk, they don't miss a beat. The food was incredible, a lot of thought goes into these dishes, our all had a great story behind them. The Chef came to our table a couple of times to walk us through the dishes, he's also the owner and a fantastic host. We thoroughly recommend.
