Enjoyed my experience here, definitely a unique experience with the conveyor belts! Love the seasoned rice and everything tasted great. The cranberry drink is not too sweet which I liked. Peach mule, and lychee drinks were very sweet but great! The only one we didn't like was the aburi Hokkaido scallop, it had a weird texture. Our favourites were the Tare aburi squid, aburi red prawn and o-toro.
The sushi were good except the squid one. Shrimp sushi was the best. Oshi are good. I loved the taste of sushi rice. The conveyor belt provides fun for kids but extra work as I need to take the sushi to my table. Washroom was clean.
Aburi Tora seamlessly blends the rich traditions of Japanese sushi with cutting-edge technology, creating a dining experience that’s both futuristic and deeply rooted in history. The sushi concierge system, with its intuitive ordering platform and direct-to-table laneways, allows your food to travel from the chef’s hands to your table in an almost theatrical display. The restaurant’s innovative approach pays homage to owner Seigo Nakamura's roots, originally from Miyazaki, Japan, where he took over his father’s restaurant at just 20. With Aburi Tora, he brings the Kaiten sushi experience to Canada, but with a modern twist and elevated quality. The result? A harmonious marriage of flavors and a dining experience that feels at once nostalgic and forward-thinking. This is sushi reimagined for a new era, and it's an experience you won’t want to miss.
Everything was very tasty, especially those sushi that cones with lemon and salt. Ika (squid) just melted in my mouth, scallop was also great. The ice cold Japanese beer went very well with every sushi !! Server was great, but he didn’t know how to process/check our gift card, and started to be frustrated with us. Floor supervisor came and she was very friendly and knowledgeable, she made us feel want to go back there again. It is though, very pricy place to eat.
