This is the best sushi restaurant in Canada where you can truly experience the essence of Japan. You’ll be impressed by the chef’s warm personality and the skillful performance that accompanies each dish. It’s a dining experience that engages all your senses. The hospitality and service are outstanding, making it well worth a visit.
I took my boyfriend here for his birthday and it was amazing! Chef makes you feel at home, especially being served sushi straight from his hand. I have never had sushi like this in my life. You can taste each grain of rice. The fish is extremely high quality and so fresh. Thank you for a great dining experience all around!
We have been looking forward to going to Saito since it opened but then the big lockdown happened. No problem for Sushi Masaki Saito! We selected a delicious appetizer box, their Chirashi and tuna sashimi. It was delivered right on time, in beautiful wooden boxes, fresh, creative and delicious. Definitely a much welcome treat. No need to be reluctant about ordering delivery from Saito. Hopefully we will be able to enjoy a meal at the restaurant in the near future but some delivery will be welcomed in the meantime!
Sushi Masaki Saito is a new addition to Toronto, a town that has many excellent Japanese restaurants, and a few which specialize in Omakase menus such as Yasu and Shoushin. While the menu pricing at Saito (C$380 to C$500 pp) is unlikely to make this restaurant one that I would visit each month, the experience exceeded my expectations. The quality of the fish and rice was unbelievably good, and Chef Saito has some very creative approaches to his food. He is also masterful in his technique and knife skills, making it a pleasure to watch him at work. Importantly, and unlike other omakase menus in Toronto, the sushi at Saito is in the Edomae style, whereby the fish is preserved for a period of time as opposed to being served fresh. His knowledge and technical skill is well reflected in what is clearly something that requires great skill to execute well. Probably the best $500 I've spent in recent memory.
