I recently visited this restaurant and ordered the Pig Out Platter, which exceeded my expectations. *Highlights:* - Brisket, chicken, and turkey were tender and flavorful - Salads were fresh and delicious - Unlimited refills on Pepsi from the bar were a nice perk - Patio seating offered a great downtown view *One Disappointment:* - Wings didn't quite meet my expectations *Insider Tip:* - Beef ribs are only available on Saturdays, so plan accordingly *Recommendation:* This restaurant is a great choice for meat lovers, with an impressive selection of meats and delicious sides. Don't miss the patio seating for a scenic view.
Great place for a summer patio dinner, had a group of 8 and chose the $40 per person set. Meat was tender, favourite being the ribs and the chicken. The brisket was tender and juicy. the pulled pork was a bit dry and the smoked sausage was my least favourite. The potato salad was very very good favourite side, close second being the coleslaw. Chili was good and had a little kick, mac and cheese was pretty bland. The slush wasn't great tasted like they added syrup into crushed ice. Service was good. Atmosphere was really nice. Parking wasn't great if it's busy the street parking is quite packed.
This place has the best north of the border BBQ I've ever had. They legit know how to smoke, and serve it up fresh with tasty sides. The holy grail of any BBQ joint is the brisket and they do it perfectly here. Pulled pork is also excellent, and probably so is just about anything on the menu. It's surprisingly not too busy, but this is probably due to its location where there has been construction going on. Even so, it always seems to maintain a loyal clientele and I suspect as soon as the construction is done, you'll be waiting in a long line to get this BBQ. Prices are very reasonable with most sandwiches in the $10-15 range. They also serve beer and mixed drinks at a side bar.
If you like meat and lots of it, this is your spot! You are very well fed with a good range of expertly prepared barbeque as well as good sides. The prices for copious quantities of meat are quite reasonable and the beers are not overpriced as in other venues.
