Unpretentious. Great and delicious. food, great ambiance and friendly professional service. You can tell they cook what they want to eat. The knish dough is made with schmaltz and with the with caviar was like having my bubby’s knish on acid. It was my third time and I will go again.
Beba isn’t so much a restaurant, but more an extension of the owners’ own kitchen. Although this place takes its roots mainly from Italian, Spanish, and Argentinian cultures, I think they can claim a little French inspiration as the term “Bon Vivant” is exactly how I would describe the duo behind Beba. Ari and Pablo are exceptionally skilled in the art of hospitality and the rest of their team does not fall short on delivering the same. The definition of unpretentious yet highly attentive service. Super patient, knowledgeable, and willing to accommodate vegetarian diet without fuss (and certainly without serving just salad). The dishes are not overly complex, sometimes only 3-4 ingredients, but they are extremely precise and invoke wonderful emotions. The passion of Ari, Pablo, and their team is strongly conveyed in everything they put in front of you and their eyes would light up while discussing a specific ingredient or wine producer. Having tried a lot of restaurants in Montreal, this place is our new benchmark and even sits above some of the best restaurants we have visited abroad. Our only regret is not coming here sooner! Aside from cocktails, we let the chef and the bar decide what we ate and drank and I can’t suggest this approach enough. Price tag on the experience is not low, but worth every penny and we honestly expected a way higher bill with what was brought out. This was a birthday dinner, and we didn’t even let the staff know until the end. We forgot to mention it when we arrived but as the night went on, we were treated like royalty and didn’t even think to mention it! Although, this seemed to be the normal level of service for all patrons. Thank you for the wonderful experience and until next time!
Beba est à la hauteur de sa réputation. Choix d’une quinzaine de plats à partager. Ce soir-là, l’assiette de pintade (saucisse, foie, ailes), le maquereau fumé et les fraises aux sabayon étaient excellents. Quelques cocktails particulièrement intéressants (et puissants!). À noter, le personnel est particulièrement sympathique. Haut lieu gastronomique qui a gardé son charme de resto de quartier. Belle soirée. On y retournera absolument.
Petit en espace mais important en qualité de plats offerts d’inspiration Argentine. Jérémie au service généreux en explications et surtout soucieux de la satisfaction du client. Leurs accords de vins impeccables. Parmi tous leurs délicieux plats dégustés. La pieuvre cuit à la perfection servie sur une purée délectable Ma première visite en 2019. Ils maintiennent une offre de qualité et sont vraiment digne de leur 8e rang dans les 100 meilleurs au Canada pour la 2e année de suite à retenir sont aussi en liste pour les Lauriers au Québec Bravo à l’équipe et aux proprios Pablo Schor à l’accueil et Ariel son frère en cuisine
