It is a very popular italian restaurant, the chef is the best italian chef in Rio. The waiting time is very long to be able to get a seat, it is easier if you go with a group of 4. The atmosphere is amazing, and the building is authenthic. The food is very good but not at the level I expected. Regardless it is worth a try !
Visited in June 2024. Brazil. Rio de Janeiro. We were craving pasta, so we went for an Italian restaurant. We found this place with the highest reviews in our area. The interior is pretty simple, the tables are close together, and it was loud and bustling with customers. It’s always nice to see a place packed, it usually means the food is good. Food: We got a salmon tartare for an appetizer. The salmon was so tender and the sauce balanced perfectly with the fish, it didn’t overpower it, it actually enhanced the flavor. The fresh radish was a nice touch. For our main courses, we had the lemon pasta with scallops and the nero pasta with octopus. Both pastas were cooked perfectly. The pasta itself was cooked just right – elastic, soft, and salty. There was a lot of sauce, which coated the noodles, and the protein was cooked perfectly - the scallop and the octopus were both cooked perfectly. Service: The service was good. The waiters didn’t speak English, but we were able to communicate with gestures. The pasta took a while to come out, we were pretty hungry after the appetizer. Overall, it was a decent service. Overall: We had a great experience. This restaurant is on the pricier side, but you get quality food. If you’re craving Italy, I recommend enjoying their flavors.
Estive pela primeira vez no restaurante, motivada pelas boas recomendações e pelos elogios que ouvi de outros clientes. Gostaria de elogiar a comida, que estava excelente: de alta qualidade e muito bem servida. No entanto, senti que o atendimento não correspondeu ao padrão que esperava. Estávamos em um grupo grande, e, ao fazermos o pedido no segundo andar, houve uma pequena demora devido à indecisão sobre as sobremesas. Um dos atendentes, cujo nome não consegui identificar, reagiu de maneira que não foi condizente com a cordialidade e paciência esperadas nesse tipo de atendimento. Em vez de aguardar com compreensão, ele demonstrou sinais de impaciência, expressando insatisfação de forma visível, o que nos deixou desconfortáveis. Reconheço que o atendente, após perceber nossa reação, retornou e pediu desculpas, garantindo que a situação não se repetiria. No entanto, senti a necessidade de formalizar esse ocorrido, pois entendo que a qualidade do atendimento é um ponto essencial para a experiência dos clientes e, neste caso, houve um desvio nesse aspecto. Reitero que a refeição foi maravilhosa, e espero que este feedback possa contribuir para aprimorar ainda mais o atendimento prestado pelo restaurante.
