I visited by myself on a Friday afternoon. The restaurant was quiet with just a handful of other customers. The service was adequate and the food was ok. Simple dishes which arrived quickly (maybe too quick?). They do a lunch special with a starter, main and dessert for €20, so I tried the snails, knuckle and cake. Snails were awful but the knuckle (lamb shank) was very good.
3 courses (didn’t take a photo of the macaroni bolognese starter) for €16.50 is a pretty good deal, and the macaroni bolognese was a lovely big portion too! I was the only one at the restaurant when I visited (7:30pm, weekday) but not sure if local people eat later or if it gets busier at the weekend. Service was very quick and my waitress very attentive, trying to help in English for my lack of much Catalan & Spanish!
I got this confused with another restaurant and had our hotel make reservations. We arrived about 30 minutes early and were told to come back, even though the restaurant was open! The menu looked ok, but based on their unfriendly welcome and its distance from our hotel, we decided to go elsewhere and started in the direction of our hotel, the former Holiday Inn Andorra, now the Suites Plaza & Wellness (don't remember any real suites??-I guess our sauna room due to poor functioning a/c made it a wellness spa?). I am giving a 3 since the food looked decent but definitely not friendly if you arrive early!
We visited the restaurant with our family and friends, the group of 14 people and compared to other places in Andorra received the best service. Our waiter was so kind and friendly, and so patient to us, explained every detail we asked about. We really liked the food. You can find dishes to different tastes or budget. And if you happen to be there try their “bacalao” in alioli sauce baked in the oven, it’s delicious! My friends ordered stake tartare, which was made in front of us. You can also order the menu which includes Starters, main dish and dessert (around six options for each category) just for 13,25 euros. The waiter shows all the products before making your dish if you want. We spent our time so positively that were visiting El Greco everyday of our holiday (except their day off). Thanks a lot!
