At L'Ensegur, we were served extraordinary food in a beautiful dining space in a picturesque Andorran setting. From my perspective, this was the best restaurant meal I have had in the last 5+ years (including pre-pandemic). We ordered 6 dishes which were split between 4 'tired hikers'. The ham and mushroom croquettes were freshly baked and exquisitely prepared; and the zucchini was perfect. As importantly, the owner was gracious and kind to these weary travelers and the cook (her son) was knowledgeable and responsive. This restaurant is easily a 5+.
Visited this restaurant twice for lunch. The interior is very old fashioned but with a lovely sun filled view out over the valley and mountains. Our first visit was exceptional. We enjoyed the poached egg on grilled artichokes and a mushroom cannelloni. The food quality and taste was excellent. Service was attentive and correct. Second visit with friends was nice as well. We shared Calcots which were ok but not cooked enough for my taste - slightly underdone. I ordered a oxtail stew that was absolutely exceptional. I think overall the menu is very creative and the food quality amazing. I highly recommend this restaurant.
