La Cantina dels Racons in Canillo, Andorra, is a charming little eatery that offers a delightful blend of European, Spanish, and Catalan cuisines. Located away from the hustle of Andorra La Vella, this cozy restaurant features a quaint farmhouse decor that adds to its inviting atmosphere. This restaurant is located approximately 10 to 15 minutes drive away from Andorra La Vella city and in my opinion it is between a Spanish, French and Catalan restaurant. The restaurant itself is quite small inside and tables are a bit too close to each other. However, the food is cooked in a stone oven right next to the tables and it is truly exquisite and mouthwatering. We were suggested to visit this restaurant by a local and it was a good idea to reserve a table as it was fully booked. We ordered a French wine, fish fritters and crocettas to start and they brought us some homemade bruschetta as appetizer. For mains we ordered a lamb shank, fried rabbit and a vegetable soup. For dessert we had some of their house dessert. Service was very good, restaurant is clean and there is a free parking right in front of the entrance.
After reading the above reviews after we sat down at the restaurant, here is my review. The waiter is a man of few words, but still a very good waiter. It’s run by a Portuguese family and we had the bread which I would agree they could do with changing the type of bread. However, it was still nice tomato on bread starter . My partner had the chicken croquettes, which were lovely and crispy on the outside and fluffy on the in with some gorgeous Alioli . The chicken covered in mushroom sauce was lovely and my partner had the rabbit which she said was absolutely cooked to perfection and we shared a plate of chips in the middle which were gorgeous . I asked the said waiter to pick my wine and it was lovely. So on the whole, I was very very happy and so was my partner.
cute roadside restaurant. It offers a set lunch and a simple menu. tried a filet steak with foie with plain wine. Excellent value for money and high speed service. I recommend if you are traveling from the mountain and you need a quick and tasty lunch
Gets very busy and not surprisingly ! The food food delicious, we ate in the garden by a trickling stream under the shade of a tree but the inside restaurant is quaint and inviting. The Portuguese waitress was delightful, spoke perfect English, as well as many others ! And looked after us very well.do stop while passing and enjoy this charming mountain restaurant.
