Love the vibes here. Staff is so cool so polite, and the food is amazing so delicious. I highly recommend to visit Barg Continental restaurant and enjoy your meal with your friends or family, there is a separate safe place for kids to play. Buffet is also available.

I recently visited Barg restaurant in Kabul and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed with my experience. The first thing that caught my attention was the cleanliness of the restaurant. It was spotless and well-maintained, which immediately gave me a good impression. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming. They were attentive to our needs and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. It was clear that they take pride in their work and are dedicated to providing excellent service. Now, let's talk about the food. I ordered the roasted chicken and it was cooked to perfection. The meat was tender and juicy, with just the right amount of seasoning. I also tried the Kabuli palaw, which was fresh and full of flavor. The juices were also freshly squeezed and refreshing. For dessert, I tried some of their sweets and they did not disappoint. They were delicious and a perfect way to end the meal. Overall, I would highly recommend Barg restaurant to anyone looking for a great dining experience in Kabul. We came in for a late lunch for one last visit. The Continental, as always, did not disappoint us. Penny, our waitress, brought over some waters with the bean dip and crackers, warm rolls and generous dish of little butters. She took the drink order right away and told us the entire menu was available. The bean dip and the crackers were really good as they always are. We ordered the baked stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer which she told us would take 12 minutes and she was right on with the time. The mushrooms were really good and piping hot. My friend had a salad and she loved it including the vinaigrette dressing. I had the minestrone soup instead of a salad and it was very tasty. I had the baked stuffed scrod with lobster crumbs, it was very tasty. The Delmonico potatoes were the best I had in my recent visits as this is one of they few places they are still available. My friend had the sliced sirloin which she enjoyed as well. The service was top shelf and not rushed as we came in between lunch and dinner. Penny was attentive, knowledgeable and experienced as our server. We had no reservations, we did not mind waiting a little since we could mingle with other patrons and see how many people were enjoying themselves at this Route 1 icon. The comfortable booths and the familiar faces in the restaurant made us feel right at home. The restrooms were super clean and we both noticed how clean smelling the lounge area was as we left.

Loyal customer for years. Heard the restaurant was closing after 70 or so years. Went there one last time and was rudely turned away because we were a walk in of three customers. Exact words from a hostess. We’re closing. Were done. And we’re not accepting walk ins. I went there one last time to get a baked stuffed lobster and left there with the worst taste in my mouth by a rude person.
